No surprise I am a fan of Google people & products but some things just don't make sense AT ALL to me. I have taken to using Google Checkin a bit more but for the life of me can't understand why Places and Checkins aren't linked. If you go to http://places.google.com/rate/me (while logged in) you can see a list of Places you have rated. Why (or where) can I get a list of all my Checkins (like I do with Foursquare)? I would love if the two were linked so I could rate all the places I check in to. Makes sense to me! All the user pictures taken with Checkins would get listed with Places…. And Maps. That's the kind of integration I need (and a tab in Google+ with the info and a map/timeline).

No doubt +Lynette Young …i concur…bump…and even raise you and suggest that the calendar and contained event information also allow integration if optionally via labs. Please eliminate redundant multiple entry where it makes absolute sense…heck…throw in Earth and Street view and you'd have an impressive synergy.
These are some good points. Once Google hears demands like this, they usually act pretty quickly.
The checkins list is visible through the latitude page https://www.google.com/latitude/b/0/history/checkins, but it is not so immediate because they are a simple links to the checkin post here on G+.
I would like very much to see more integration e less duplication of information, like +Ian Lynch said, and it would be very cool to have a map to trace all these geocoded information just like the one facebook introduced with its timeline.
+Lynette Young, I have had the exact same thought many times. And I also agree with +Ian Lynch, that would be great functionality. Let's bring in +Vanessa Schneider, the community manager for places, and +Daniel Mabasa, the community manager for maps. Can either of you help us get tighter integration here?

FourSquare is now owned by Facebook, there's no way it can even come in touch with Google+ =)
Even still, there doesn't seem to be a clear way to access your previous check-ins.
Would be great if +Google Australia integrated those together.

I agree 1000%. The fragmentation across the Google cosy stem is being slowly cleaned up. Look out 2-3 years and the offering will be dominant.
So cosy stem was supposed to be Eco system but iOS didn't like that idea.
I remember sending in a suggestion last year for google to make chrome sync its tabs with other devices wirelessly.
I can't say that they did it just because of my suggestion, but everything I've ever submitted has actually been implemented. Perhaps a lot of people ask for the same stuff.
Moral of the story:
Always send in these suggestions. You'll probably get what you want.
