   You can either start one in a message, or if somehow they show up in the feed, you can join one.

    You need to send a message to a circle or a person you want to hangout with. Then once you have the chat going you can create a hangout by hitting the video icon.

    Are you trying to start one or join one on your phone? I know the Android app only allows you to join one if you are invited.

    Looks nice Lynette… the hangout feature is very cool I feel. Great way to share things with others, I especially love the Doodle tool and share screen feature, I am wanting to test the the Live recording thingy… Cat wait actually. The more I am getting round in G+ the more Im liking it.

    +Shan Hacking A cool thing about Google+ is that you can edit your posts, eliminating the need to make a second post to correct yourself! Should work on mobile too, it does on Android devices.
