The white space is temporary: "Vic Gundotra just jumped into our hangout for a quick first impression feedback. He also confirmed that the white space on widescreens is NOT for advertisement. Google has plans for that, but is not giving any details yet". It looks really cool, anyway 🙂
First impression – it's hard to figure out how to switch from interacting as a PAGE vs. a PERSON. I'm running between my account & some others to frantically update business pages! UGH. There goes my afternoon 😉
Weird, some of my pages on this account are flipped to the new (the newest pages seem to be) and the older pages from when they first were available are still the old layout. Strange to see how stuff rolls out…..
Uh, with a 27-inch monitor and 2560 x 1440 resolution, this is horrible – where I want my head to be facing , there is a great big empty space, and I have to re-orient my keyboard to type properly in here without risking my back, neck and wrists (which are dodgy).
The new design looks gorgeous 🙂
Yeah it's pretty pretty good.
GAH hover cards changed too! I'm off to tweak everything! Push all the buttons!!!
As a side note – DAMN! Now I need to go hurry and change every single screenshot of decks/presentations I'm about to do next week.
isn't it instinctively crampy and, ugly?
It's like a dashboard / portal for me. I like it.
+Lynette Young When does this go live?
I like it, I'm still not sure about the huge white space on the right with higher resolutions.
loving your page.
This is a shot of my profile, not my 'stream' – it looks different there I think.
mmm. stretch?4:3? on my 16:9 there is a lot of empty space :.
Is very good

Not in love yet…hoping it will click with me soon!
We always have to look at the left…
Is Google rolling this out slowly? I still see the old design.
Thats really nice. 2 bad its not here yet….
hi 🙂
looks interesting
I can scroll down for miles and the navigation is still there. It is an improvement.

I'm finding it easier to navigate as well! The pages still remain in the old layout.
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANT #reallydowant
+Facebook+-ification process = Engaged.
I love it too, but my business page hasn't changed over yet.

Awesome. Looks good. I'm really liking the consistent UI across Google's properties.
Apparently Google's VP has said that they have plans for the white space on the right (and not for ads) so it won't stay that way for long.

I need to find out the dimensions of the new cover picture STAT! Anyone figure it out yet?
This looks so much easier than the original design.
+Lynette Young No, but I'm interested in that as well.
Is it gonna change on mobile too?
Agreed!!
+Fionna O'Sullivan I'm running that rez too on my main monitor, the other is 1920×1080 but never keep my browser full screen.
+Robert Duke Hopefully, because with the +Google+ +Android app, i can't find a way to see my +1s.
Looks great! Can't wait for it to trickle out today.
I hope it does roll over to mobile!
940 x 180 seems to work nicely for the cover art…..
I see all of mine +Achwaq Khalid
I got it! I finally got it!
Just got it. LOVE it. I wish I could have more than 2 circles at the top however without clicking "more"
how can i have New Google interface ???
+Fionna O'Sullivan how many web sites do you know are designed for 27-inch monitor and 2560 x 1440 resolution?
consider me impressed.
