My work office is done with all Ikea furniture & decor, but now I'm drawing up plans for a home office / recording studio and need some inspiration. In the process I need to learn how to use SketchUp. I really have no desire to learn to use a tool for a one-time use, but hey, it's free and works really well. I used to use AudoCad when designing network and architecture schematics, but those skills are long rusted through.
Oh, I can hit Pinterest for ideas also <grin>.

Yes, but pinterest doesn't offer the Swedish Meatballs, huh… π
Recording studio? For what? Do you sing?
Funny, this morning, out of the blue, I too had a desire to go to Ikea! I wonder if they have some subliminal messaging going on π
I miss Ikea. The nearest one to us is a few hours away and not worth the trip for just that.
Paper and pencil do wonders, seems to flow from the MIND to the finger better.
+LisaMarie Dias Nah, I think it is the meatballs… π

I need to go to Ikea, heard alot of good things about the place!
+Te-Erika Patterson not a singer, no! I've been a podcaster since 2004 (audio) and for the past few years have been getting heavier into video recording. Plus I do quite a few Hangout On Air's a week and need proper recording space.
While I am working out my original concepts on paper, I need to get a proper list with dimensions and furniture to my brother-in-law (contractor) that is building my space. He can't spec it out for me from a basic scribble on paper!
I like the curtain! LOL
Have fun. I love Ikea. I always buy stuff even when I go just to look.
I quit buying IKEA when it all fell apart in 2 years. Never buy their patio furnature, second season of sun and your butt goes thru the seat.
When it comes to paper +Lynette Young use the graphed stuff, easy to maintain scale.
I <3 sketchup!!!

You tried AutoDesk Homestyler? A bit limited but it's easy to use and has a chrome extension.
+Chukwudi Barrah thanks for the suggestion, I'm going to go look that one up!
