it's ViSUAL MADNeS! Got on it a day or two ago (probably thanks toy U) and have gone into JUNKiE MODE lol http://pinterest.com/zoeticjuju/ there's me..bet your boards are a feast for the eyes!
I could not stand the busy layout. I thought it would be a place to share with friends links and ideas that would make them easy to find. Something other than FB where links disappear after a few hours in the stream. I did not go back because it was just not what I thought it would be.
hello dear friend +Lynette Young , what is this?
Thanks so much +Lynette Young
Totally hooked on Pinterest. Love having somewhere to keep the shiny stuff.
And +Sabrina Benton do you have an iPhone by chance? I like the app and it is linear (you see one pin at a time), so you might prefer it.
No, I have an older "smart" phone that does not allow any new apps. I thought it would be something different than it was and it was disappointing when I tried it.
I'd not really thought about Pinterest as a marketing opportunity yet; thanks for this article. I want to dedicate a little time to actively searching out pins for my sparse boards – sometimes you absolutely NEED a board for a pin that doesn't fit any categories you've created yet, but then it looks so lonely!
+Kirsten Griffith it's a TOTAL marketing opportunity, especially and specifically for business that uses a lot of visuals. When something gets pinned from a website, in Pinterest the link is preserved. This way if I see a must-have item pinned, I can click through and get to the original article – or place to purchase…
From the consumer end, I totally use it that way 🙂 It's so interesting how, since most of what I've tried to market over the last few years has been information/service related, the product/visual marketing stuff doesn't register like it did when I was in retail.
As much as I love Pinterest for its time suckage…its beneficial for blog and business awareness for sure!!
Ok, I want to be a part of Pinterest… i requested an invite… can someone send me one or do I just wait? Thanks Ladies!! 🙂
+Nicole Renee I just emailed you an invite!! 😉
