Everything I've heard about it says that its's really not speaking to the way I use podcasting and social media.
I'll stick with #Balticon thanks.
It depends. If you are in blogging or podcasting (or any content creation) as part of your business, then it's a must-attend. If you are hobbiest, then probably not. Podcamps are Balticon are probably better suited. I'm not being snobby about it, but it is a business conference when it comes right down to it.
Bummer. Wish I had that to spare this month.
You gonna try and do the Podcast Pavilion again?
I'm not sure what +Rick Calvert has in store – I won't be able to help out with it this year but soooooo many people found value in it that I hope they will integrate it somehow in the program.
Oh, it is a part of my business, no doubt about it. But the way that it's a part of my business doesn't match up well with the way that BlogWorld assumes that it has to be. The people I want to learn from are people like +Nathan Lowell and +Scott Sigler and +Mur Lafferty .
If anyone wants to call them "hobbyists" I want to be there when it happens, because I know it will be entertaining.
I use podcasting to build an audience, to connect with my peers, and build relationships. I am serious about podcasting and I resent any implication that I'm not.
Is anyone talking about ACX at BlogWorld? Because it's a big topic of conversation among my peers right now. How about Kindle Select?
+Nobilis Reed I can't comment on BWE's tracks for that, but can say that the adjoining conference Book Expo America is concentrating on that type of content this year. THAT will be something you honestly want to take a look at.
Disclaimer: I'm speaking at both conferences 😉 I just so happened to work it so both speaks are in the same place lol!
I'm Sorry +Nobilis Reed What exactly are you not seeing at our event other than the speakers you mentioned. Have you looked at our educational sessions?
+Rick Calvert I must be missing something. Is this the page you're talking about?

I see some lists of buzzwords but nothing that says "educational sessions"
BlogWorld is one of our favorite events. Blogworld, Jason Falls, Jay Baer and Closing More Sales BuzzBooster tv #40
+Nobilis Reed if the conference isn't for you, it isn't for you. I didn't refer to you as a hobbiest, but I know plenty that are. No one said that BWE has to be the perfect fit for every person and every business. Years ago, when we as a collective needed other things from a conference that the big ones weren't providing, we STFU and did it ourselves 😉 This will be our 6th year of PodCamp Philly. I'm sure as a professional author and podcaster you would find PodCamp Philly horribly lacking as well I'm afraid.
