Your adorable!
🙂
Wondering: Could you begin a "discussion" on the FB page to share
eBook reading suggestions? Agreed +Lynette Young Librarians really rule 🙂 Lots of great programs, things for children and also teens — great, cool things! Our library system has ebooks, too. IKWYM RE: getting a library card. Took going back to the library with our children to re-up on one. Enjoy!
You are so cute 🙂
Oh man, I don't even know where to start! First, the Portland Public Library, my local main branch, is social-media-savvy, but what I follow more closely are the Portland Library Teens accounts, since my brother frequents their teen center. +Justin Hoenke is one of the most amazing people I've met since returning to Portland – so passionate about the teens, the library, and just an all-around rad human being.
I also renewed my San Francisco library card literally the day before I moved back to Maine do I could continue to check out their ebooks and audiobooks. Definitely a great way to discover new favorites before buying.
Books: Brandon Mull's Fablehaven series. YA fantasy that grows with the readers, the stories are fun, clever, and super engaging. For a higher reading level but still technically YA fantasy due to the adolescent protagonists, Jonathan Stroud's Bartimaeus trilogy (Amulet of Samarkand is the first, I believe).
LOVED The Weird Sisters – are you connected with Eleanor Brown on Twitter? She's down to earth and fun and engages with her readers. Adore her.
Finally, what lip gloss are you wearing, because I need it.
I just did a double-take. Even since I've moved, I still hold my card. They let me keep it when they realized I was keeping a New Jersey address with Mom but leaving the country for Sweden. 🙂
Glad they are here!
+Kirsten Griffith I'm connected with Eleanor Brown, her partner is a really good friend of mine – he's a writer also. (That's how I first found her.)
Thanks for the suggestions, I'm putting them in my list!! I have an Audible subscription so I get audiobooks quite often, and between that and +Podiobooks.com – Serialized audio books I'm set. It's the Kindle books from the library I want to look into!
PS – Lipgloss is Maybelline "Cool Watermelon" D160 with a coat of Smashbox "Timeless" lip gloss. Total suggestion from +Jane Ellen 😉
Love the tip for Day#4. I'm SO excited you are getting a library card! I think everyone should have one! Love the reminder, too, about feeding the non-business side our brains with some different reading.
Thanks +Jennifer Bailey – they are +Julien Smith's tips, I'm just applying them to my life & business 😉
+Kirsten Griffith +Lynette Young Wowowowow. Thank you both! The librarian community is strong and full of so many good people. We love to help and we're here for our communities. We work for you!
