Today I am thankful for living in the country.
Yes, there is country in New Jersey. I’m in the middle of farmlands and it is gorgeous in the winter. When it snows every fallow field is nothing but a white blanket. I can drive less than an hour to get to Philadelphia and a bit longer on a train to get to New York City. We live on over an acre but are still within easy driving distance to a lot of ‘urban’ activities. While we sometimes toy with the idea of moving someplace the kids will have easier access to other kids, the fact is that we love where we live in the big open land – or as much as you can have open space in NJ!
