Today I am thankful for the summer!
Warm weather. Sunshine. The kids can sleep in (well, until camp starts!) To be honest, I don’t take take advantage of summer enough. It gets hot and I sometimes hide inside with the air conditioning. This year I intend to do more road trips, especially down the shore, and build mini-vacations out of our days and weekends. Since the kids are generally in day camp 2-3 weeks every summer (our ‘vacation’ budget is used to send them there…) it’s actually a really good time for me to hunker down at work since I have an extended day from what they have during the school year. Summer tends to be my most productive time thinking as well.
