I know, my first reaction (as a person, not a professional) is that we don't need the brands in here. Putting that aside, are there any companies you wish would get their act in gear and get in here? I've seen more than a few companies with customers/fans BEG for interaction online only to have the companies do the 'sit and wait until social media gets popular.'
What do you want to see & what do you want them to do? Companies don't make brands – YOU DO.

Microserf
Marshall Amplification
I would actually want Blue Microphones in here (officially). I've used and recommended them for YEARS.
Yes. Those are excellent as well. Especially when placed in front of Marshall Amps!
+Rich Fisher with the media-rich tools in here, you would think that those two companies in particular would jump in!
+Taylor Guitars jumped in (and will be the first guitar I get my kids when they start lessons) and seems to have had much success.
Well Marshall just lost their founder, so they might be in a funk for a bit. But with all of the musicians here on G+, they would be in my Circles for sure. I've got them over at FB but it's not the same.
I'm less interested in products than I am in events, so: Festival, concert and live theater organizers/promoters, performers (more performance hangouts!), that sort of thing.
I have had Others say that Also
Marshall Amp. & Anvil Cases.
Taylors are excellent guitars, as are Martin Guitars. You'll want to start your kids with a guitar that has easy-to-hold-down strings. Taylor might be a bit much for a beginner. Try an Alvarez or Epiphone, and make sure to have them set up with super low action and lighter gauge strings; or the student will get frustrated with how hard it is to push down the strings to get a true note.
Another great idea +Pat Kight
Maybe Live Nation?
I wish the companies that were on G+ took it seriously. You can tell it's questionable when they post "Click Like…. ". Basically posting the same thing to FB and here. HUGE mistake. Most of the brands I want to see are here but execute poorly.
My husband +Arthur Amendt did a post about Hangouts and computer horsepower yesterday and he recommends waiting for a table with the quadcore processor.
Honestly, Silverbox Photographers. Kim Wade, one of the partners, did our wedding and she's an amazing photographer, and I think the only person that I've ever employed that I really wanted to walk away friends with. They're based in Columbia, MO but will travel anywhere for a job and are completely worth it.
Random factoid about them: Kim did Tim Allen's wedding.
I agree with +Pat Kight . I'd love to see events, theaters or other gatherings over basic product promotion. However companies offering tips and trick type content would also be welcome.
as +Greg Brailsford said before most of the brands using google+ execute poorly So the next question +Lynette Young you have to pose would be : what are the elements that defines a quality presence of brands in google+
Ubuntu 😉
+Pat Kight & +Jenn Reidy – Google Places integration would be epic. Better yet, something along the line of displaying the type of content that gets shown when you search Google for 'movie times' or something. You get a real time listing of what shows & times are near you.
I'm sure that would be great for a lot of people; I don't use Places (heck, I don't use a cell phone – I'm a geek, but a selective geek). But I'd love to see what, say, Cirque du Soleil or the Humana Theatre Festival could do with G+!
I would love to see fiberarts (yarn companies) on here. I think it would be an awesome platform for promoting new lines of yarn for knitting/crocheting/weaving. It would also be a natural for use of hangouts as well! Virtual stich+bitch, stitch demos, on-air hangouts to do fashion shows with new pattern lines!
I love Janice's thoughts on how yarn companies could use Google+
+Janice Mansfield — +Yarn Mountain, a knitting, crocheting, and fiber art company in Virginia, used to hold "Knit Night" Hangouts. Not sure if they still do, but you may want to check it out.
Thanks +Johnathan Chung. there are a bunch of others I would love to see on here — Debbie Bliss, Rowan Yarns among others. Its curious they have not gravitated here, as many of the knitting designers and more progressive companies were early adopters of twitter + facebook, and were doing some really interesting stuff re. web design.
I guess this consumer will just have to start speaking up and suggesting they check out g+!
Nail polish companies that will ship their wares to Sweden.
Yeah, I know, I get old in a hurry with the nail art – but it's my current passion.
there are still too many "brands" waiting to see if the "internet" gets popular…
