This goes right along with the idea that knowledge workers really can't 'squeeze' more than 6 hours of productivity out of their brains. Creative and intellectual ideas sometimes 'come when they come' and can't be rushed or manufactured. It's a hard concept for non-brilliant people to understand <grin>

It would be a thoroughly ideal world if we could split society in half, with a class of knowledge workers who worked, maybe 5 hours tops so that they are not overtaxed mentally. Then all the others, bus drivers, machinists, oil riggers, clerks, could squeeze in 9 hours. That way every brain is optimized, each according to his worth, no? 🙂
