Not "on a plane four times a week" – but I'm away from my family enough where I have to integrate a plan to cope while I'm gone. I live by my mobile phone & iPad while I'm gone and could actually do 70% of my job with it. I can't however get to my personal / family information. Friends of mine are working with +AboutOne and turned me on to the idea of finally getting myself organized. Anyone use it? It's gotten epic reviews so I'm game to give it a solid try.

I use #evernote for the same thing but this looks good for anyone who doesn't want as robust an option. The framework they have is nice.
Looks very interesting might have to give it a go
My poly family and I just use a simple setup via Google Calendar. Since we're all smartphone and whatnot, it just integrates in and sends notices and alerts and such. Plus there's less than 10 of us, so we took it one step further and got a google apps account for the family name (Le Moulin Noir). So basically there's a root email for all of the sites and such we sign up for (Netflix, et al). We're also discussing setting up additional addresses for file storage functions since each email address in a google apps setup can have the full suite of services, including Drive. So we've debated having an address just for docs, one for music, etc. It works rather well for us.
AboutOne helps organize your paperwork, not just your calendar. BIG difference 😉
In theory I could do that with Docs n whatnot as well. I'm def gonna check it out, but I like the seamelssness of google n whatnot.
I'll hop in as the AboutOne expert, +Greg Adkins . 🙂
It synchs ALL existing contacts and calendars. ALL. Plus, because it's on the Azure Cloud, it's super safe and has bank level security, and has an entire section dedicated to medical records, house info, and more. It offers FAR more protection and privacy than Google docs does.
😀
oh I'm not saying anything bad about the product (Azure aside.. I KEEEED). Mostly I'm SUCH a freakin' google fanboy that I just go in that particular direction is all. 😀 I always like knowing what techs are out there so I can recommend various solutions to friends (variety, spice, life, blah blah blah). Out of curiosity (and to further hijack this thread from poor Lynette).. what influenced you to use the Azure cloud? Not picking, just more curious.
BTW.. appreciate you jumping into to talk. It's always nice to talk to members of a product's team and get a real solid feel for it. It also shows an intense ownership of the product as well… heart counts for a lot.
