I just recently found an amazing board from +Jane Ellen that she published for one of her clients +Simon Salt. If I knew how to type out an emoticon for purring that is exactly what I would do right now.
By the way – HELLO!!! THIS is how you use Pinterest for business. And I strive to someday to be a big enough deal (and enough $) to have a publicist and a stylist, but the money to actually buy the stuff they pick. 😉

+TedEwen, I KNOW!!!!!!
oh i heart +Simon Salt
+Amy Gabriel yeah, I'm sort of getting a geek crush on him myself. My existing geekcrush (Mr. #dragonboots) need not worry though…
Pinterest is "Krista crack." It feeds all those magazine flipping impulses I don't indulge anymore since I don't have subscriptions, plus it keeps me firmly entrenched online all the more. But, oh, do I love the pain! 😉
+Krista Carnes that is EXACTLY what it is like! I don't do magazines, but Pinterest is like a personalized curated magazine of the stuff I like – just for ME.
Love love love Pinterest too! We're actually going to have to form a local group and call it Pintervention 🙂
Thanks +Holly Kile , you made me snort 😀
I found an awesome article on how to use Pinterest to drive your business right after you and I talked about it earlier; thank you again for this "duh!" moment! 🙂
+Lynette Young thank you, you've made my night. I have many clients but it wasn't until recently when I had the DUH realization to make the Pinterest board for +Simon Salt since we do not live in the same city. That way he can see what I'm thinking. I have, ahem, yet to be wrong. But it is unusual for a stylist to also be a publicist, I must say. It does all come down to marketing. You are your brand. And who better than someone who has experience in making people look their best to getting you an excellent headshot and going over your wardrobe before an appearance 🙂 Pinterest, oh, I could live there. And I'm going to be putting up boards for all my clients, even the ones who live near me. It's a joy for me I can hardly explain.
+Jane Ellen – do you think you could offer personal Pinterest style-boards as one-offs? Say, you and I chat for a short time, I send you some photos and (gulp) measurements, etc. Could you "prescribed" some style suggestions via Pinterest?
If you like the idea, we should talk!
+Amy Gabriel I heart you too 🙂
+Lynette Young If you are not considered a "big deal" then gawd help the rest of us!!
Explain to me how joe consumer moves from pinterest to a sale!! Or to a qualified lead. What would it do for an iphone hack site for example ? Or a coupon blog??
+Clint Dixon as a customer I've made purchases directly from Pinterest no less than six times. If I'm collecting or browsing items that I want to pin (because I am making outfits, building out a room, etc.) it is an easy jump from seeing what I've collected to clicking to find out more or make a purchase.
There is a HUGE SEO bump from Pinterest as well, and that benefit is self-explanatory.
As a business, I help clients use tools like Pinterest and many others to give themselves an edge to get seen
A little echo for +Lynette Young – one of the reasons my husband "nailed" my Xmas presents this year is because he checked out my pinboards. All those ideas in one place resulted in a sweet little Christmas w/ things he knew I liked…+Pinterest FTW!
New year's resolution for 2012: Get going on pinterest.
Putting it off as I KNOW I'll be addicted within a week…
+ParentingExtra dooooooo iiiiiittttttt
+ParentingExtra – I was born an addict for this kind of junk. +Jane Ellen – you, peer pressurer, you!
