Apparently there was a bit of a huff over items listed on his resume (embellishments perhaps?) I have two words for you – due diligence.
Tell me again how this company is poised for a comeback??

Yahoo Ousts Thompson, Loeb Wins. Now What?
Yahoo must try and build momentum behind a new, relatively unknown CEO, as well as a new chairman of the board.

Yahoo! doesn't seem to innovate anymore.
Them and AOL, two companies that can't seem to figure out their place in the post Web1.0 world.
I thought the same thing. A CS degree is important to them, but they don't bother to verify it? No vetting process at Yahoo, which might explain the 3 CEOs in 3 years. LOL
"when Yahoo verified Thompson has inadvertently added the computer science degree to his resume." there's a word which is bitter funny here, which one? i wonder how many people are getting a job by lying, while so many others are trying hard to give a sense to their real degrees and get discarded for useless reasons (often). I wrote about the degree i don't have in my resume, but it's clearly stated as "paused waiting for better times to complete it" and i'm explaining it everytime i have a talk with somebody that reads my cv… this didn't compromise my hiring at one of the biggest companies in italy in the IT field… so i guess, humility and honesty are part of the resume too…
LOL. Wonder what they had to pay him as a settlement….
+Rick Bjarnason maybe because his lie was so big that you could install a settlement over it? Lol, just kidding, did one of this kind too in my life, and it was big enough to screw some things over, so i should not point at him anyhow…
I'm a bit surprised that the vetting of his credentials did not pick up on the degree error when he was the top candidate for the job. I am still seeking employment and my Bachelor's degree is legit. Go figure!
I wonder how the Facebook lawsuit figures into all this.
I agree Cynthia, I too am seeking employment and yet, these "fellows" and now with JP Morgan and all that is going on,,, I KNOW I can do a better job…..
Well I am submitting my resume for the position because yahoo don't check credentials!
