My arm is on the mend! I'm back at my regular computer & typing away with both hands. Just measured the scar, doc did right by me and only made it 4.5" long. I approve!! Only drawback is that I'm not really supposed to drive for another 6 weeks (or only for short distances) and I have a lot of speaking / teaching engagements lined up.

Interesting how often we ignore our doctors advise. But I can't help wonder if their choice of time frame is based on the actual necessary time for healing or over the actual necessary time for healing in order to avoid lawsuits and such.
BTW, glad you are feeling better.
ouch…..
very sad but happy now you are feeling well.
wish you be all right in near future and do everything with ur both side
+Chuck Cortes the arm I was operated on had all the muscles disconnected/reconnected so I can't pick up something as heavy as a cell phone or risk tearing the muscles/stitches. Driving and only using one arm is fine unless I need to grab the wheel with both hands and turn suddenly & that would cause me to rip my arm up again. Lawsuits, yes, but honestly I don't want to loose motor function of my arm!
bummer on the driving part, but at least you're partially free. 🙂
Glad you are getting better. Maybe you should call Google an test one of their self driving cars. Tell them you'd report on the usefulness of it.
You could offer a techi marketing student (with a driving license) 6 weeks of work experience.
Yay – glad to hear the mending is going well, +Lynette Young!
+Clare Cosgrove great idea – the intern must have chauffeur experience! 😀
Is hiring a driver a justifiable tax deduction since it is both medical and work related?
Happy to hear your feeling better Lynette!
wonderful to hear that you have both typing hands back in action! And to see evidence in your posts on G+ ;~)
YEAH! So glad to hear it.
