This Hangout will either be completely empty or full of people waiting to chat. As someone that had more than her fair share of 'mean girls' during middle & high school I know the results first-hand.

"Mean Girls" – Hangout On Air : Monday April 2, 2012 9pm EST
This is a topic that has been in the front of my thoughts for a long time now & I thought it would make a great topic for tonight's Hangout. As someone that was on the receiving end of 'mean girls' as a pre/teen, I struggle 30 years later to help my 10 year old daughter through some of the same murky waters.
"Mean Girl Syndrome" is a form of bullying and aggression. I'm curious on your take on the phenomena, if you were bullied – or were the bully. I'm looking to start a dialog with moms & see how we can try to move our daughter's forward in a positive way. Not sure what I'm talking about? Here's a few resources for you:

I will add you to a circle to be included in the Hangout invite list. Everyone else will be able to tune into +Lynette Young's stream at 9pm to watch live.

Bullies never grow out of it – they move into positions where they can continue to wield their disregard for human dignity. I don't have anything to offer to the next generation in regards to raising their children other than to say that some bullies are sociopaths in training; they cannot be fixed.
Darn, it would be 2am for me. I hope it will be recorded so I can catch it tomorrow?
I smacked a bully. Problem solved.
I would be interested in future updates and discussions (I encountered quite a bit of bullying), but have plans tonight. I hope you have a good Hangout with useful tools shared for mothers looking to provide guidance to their daughters.
Dang it! Would love to, but can't tonight 🙁
create love ambiance
This is such a great topic. Mean girls grow up…into mean women. Then? They breed mean daughters. The cycle must be broken.
You can't break pathology if the root cause is genetic.
I’d like to join the Hangout (+Lisa Kalner Williams)!
I'd love to join the discussion.
Anyone up for a hangout? I've gotten a lot of private response that makes me think a continued thread on this vs. a Hangout might be better/easier….
I'll hang!
