It was brought to my attention that my penchant for sharing and discussing women's issues may exclude me from some major brands/companies from wanting to sponsor my shows or projects.
Oh well. The ones I do choose to work with will be keepers then. <grin>

Good for you +Lynette Young!!! Don't let that change who you are.
Stay true, +Lynette Young, we love you.
Heaven forbid you should have standards!
This is as it should be.
Maybe sponsor dollars need to be audited to see if they meet our brands before we align ourselves with them.
Well done +Lynette Young

Wait..what? So we're talking about some misogynistic brands out there? Please share this list so they can LOSE my business??
Oh I wish I was devious enough +Tiffany Henry to name names!
You are better. If companies were focused more on improving their products then worrying about what people say and how it” might” affect them, the world would be a better place.
That is a problem for someone that is concerned on searching for the well being of others. I have written on my blog about human rights issues and I had the Under Armour brand revoke my affiliate. I love their product but never got a response why it was cancelled. Makes me work harder for those that support me and the causes I believe in.
amazing!
Good for you!
/eye roll. Frankly, I doubt there's anyone who discusses anything that doesn't wind up with someone who decides to back off. So really, this isn't any different from any other person who gets sponsored.
And frankly, if it's the misogynistic companies/sponsors backing off? Then all the more reason to actually look at the ones sponsoring you. Nice. Win-win, as far as I'm concerned.
Because heaven forbid you attempt to educate in a way that improves things for half the population…
I'd do the same, +Lynette Young! 😉
Speaking of which, if you are a smart & forward-thinking brand or company, let's do lunch… /snark-but-serious
People need to stand up for what they believe in even if it doesn't make everyone happy. That's how change takes place!
ok
every achievement has got its cost…….to be paid or not?
We could pay, guess that brand?
+Ahmet Abdulaziz I agree +Lynette Young needs to look at it from an Achievement of sticking with her values… 🙂
There are an awful lot of dudes posting on your threads. Sorry lads, marketers have deemed this Ladytown.
Also, what women's issues? Did I miss your detailed blog post about mid-cycle cramping?
+Melanie McRae that's a good topic actually 😉 mid-cycle, mid-life. I'm all over it <grin>
Would you really want to associate yourself with a brand that had those views?
+Damon Barth nah. I just had some sort of Mad Men flashback with the experience though. We *love everything about you… but here's a list of things you need to change before we will do business with you. It just amazes me that companies (or their PR firms) ever acted this way let alone in 2012. I am chatting with a company or two now that are smarter than that!
Door. Backside. Thank-you-very-much.
Aj ke? niekedy preklada? do Slovenského jazyka prekladá vety, ktoré nedávajú zmysel. Váš komentár sa mi javí ako ve?mi vtipný.
Aj tento môj sa stal nezmyslom.
