Google+ users spent only 3 minutes on site in January
Google+ might be heading for 100 million registered users but many of them appear to be spending almost no time on the service, market analysis company ComScore has reported.
Google+: Reshared 1 times
Google+: View post on Google+
I'm looking to spoil the curve, but it's not a good thing. >_<
Thats False Im Sure
because it's sooooooooo much slow than facebook ..
takes so much time for opening a page as well as it's complicated
3 minutes ! must be typo
i would like to know which google + users they were looking at too because I do that in a heartbeat checking things on my phone – which they can't track apparnently. And good point on the games.
Don't know where they're getting these numbers, but am on Google+ whole day and night. Facebook only sees me in a chat, and its 99% of the time initiated by a friend
Where the hell are these people getting this information???
+Lynette Young I think an API will solve this problem. Right now Google+ integrates with NOTHING. "Post to G+" is needed in popular apps.
+Bradley Larcher We don't need to question the numbers. There is only one way to interact with Google+. Web or the mobile client. Because of the Facebook API, devs have been able to integrate sharing functions into their apps – camera apps, video games apps, music apps, location awareness apps etc.
you right , < khurt…>
Good point. So Google need to work on that pronto. Also get it distributed on more mobile platforms like Windows Phone and MeeGo
If the report mentioned had been able to take into account posts not set to public, cell phone usage, and any interaction done on non-public posts then the numbers would have skewed a bit differently.
+Leah Barr Good point about the private and semi-private posts but … isn't that the same for Facebook as well?
+Leah Barr All very true. Many interaction are not shared publicly and also via mobile.
+Khürt Williams the problem with trying to find accuracy with Facebook is that they regularly de-privatize your content, often against your express wishes in the settings. Also, the same type of study would have been similar for them if they haven't deleted all the inactive accounts.
I've seen Facebook. Much prefer this "ghost town" over the crowd of clowns.
+Jeremiah Parry-Hill But we're not a ghost town. Facebook is like a noisy bustling city, while we here are quiet and civilized relaxing in the suburbs
Its a gradual process, facebook is too crowded and noisy, Google+ is quiet and classy. What matters most is what we spend time doing on the site not the amount of time spent
The ComScore report does not account for people who use Google + through mobile devices, which makes their report incomplete in my opinion.
I know my use has been down for a couple months due to work. Should pick up soon due to less work. 🙂
I am pleased to note the amazing amount of time G+ saves! Productivity gurus should be all over this!
