What's your #1 thing you can give to someone else to do & your #1 thing you could never dream of letting someone else have when it comes to your business, career, or job?
In an effort to not have as much work on my plate and move ahead at the same time, I'm making strides towards delegating out some of my everyday tasks. Things like booking travel, making sure contracts are taken care of, reporting, research, calendar / schedule, CRM, etc. can be given away to others (for me anyhow). Rather than let these important but time-consuming tasks slip under the rug, I've got an assistant that I'm still trying to figure out how to best utilize. With only so many waking hours in a day and a limit on how much coffee and 5 Hour Energy I can consume, something had to give!
In that process, I have to sit down and make a list…
: The things I cannot under any circumstances give to another person (these are the 'brain trust' types of things in my line of work – the unique experience and skills I have that clients pay for)
: The things I can give to someone else to do that can dedicate more time to getting it done on time and properly
: Things that I do that really don't need to be done at all or given to someone else
I'm still a long way from figuring it out, but at least I know now I have help and I can clear my time and mind to concentrate on work that actually earns more money!

Give – All of my work.
Never give – All of my play.
I have two VA's (virtual assistants) working for me. They do a lot more than I would have thought possible, but it does take a good deal of training to get them to do it the way that I would. The one thing that I don't have them do is create content for me. Although one of them is great at writing marketing material and she does create that content.

Give – everything related to technology
Never give – networking, PR
As you know I have an assistant as well. The majority of my work- the stuff that people pay me for (um, I guess my brain) will never be given out. But so so much of my everyday existence can and is handed over. In essence I have freed up LOADS of brain time- allowing me to be more productive and more PROFITABLE. So when people say they can't afford to hire help- I try to explain the financial benefits of it : )
