Well that didn't go well.

After a week of emailing and conference calls, nothing has changed. Audible's newest ACX service — which looks on the surface to be a great avenue for authors who've been unable to get their independently produced audio books on Audible and iTunes — remains off limits to many.

Here's the tl;dr version: If you're using podcasting to build your audience, author, and have released your own self-narrated book to the wild, you can't play. Period.

Thanks for sharing, Lynette. A rather discouraging story, but exposing the flaws can only make it better, right?
